SINTRONES Awarded International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) certification ISO/TS 22163: New Global Quality Standard for the Rail Industry

The objective for the certification is to set international requirements and standard for quality management.
ISO/TS 22163 is based on the ISO 9001 quality management standard with the addition of rail-specific requirements. The quality requirements of the new ISO/TS 22163 standard focus on rail specific topics such as requirements management, configuration management, development, as well as maintenance, and life cycle cost (LCC). Created to enhance competition and ensure higher quality standards, IRIS aims to achieve global uniformity in language, assessment guidelines and audits in order to create a higher level of transparency throughout the railway supply chain.
